Hawker at Home
2021
Hawker at Home is a visual identity project that explores my food memory of eating Malaysian hawker food, and my parents cooking similar dishes back at home in Australia. The informal, fast-paced, bustling vibe of Malaysian street food stood out to me, as translated through the bright red, bold and condensed typography. The halftone photographs are gritty and lo-fi. In contrast, the soft blue represents the nostalgia associated with these personal experiences with my family.
